🍳 Cooking Instructions
Cook the Green Beans:
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add green beans and sauté for 2 minutes until they start to blister slightly.
- Add garlic, salt, and pepper; stir for 30 seconds.
- Pour in 2 tbsp water or broth, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
- Remove green beans and set aside on a plate. Wipe the skillet clean.
Cook the Salmon:
- In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Sear salmon skin-side down first for 3–4 minutes, until crisp.
- Flip and brush the tops generously with the Dijon glaze.
- Lower the heat to medium, cover, and cook another 3–5 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
Combine and Finish:
For a creamy twist, stir 1 tablespoon of butter or light cream into the pan juices right before serving — it creates a silky, restaurant-style Dijon sauce.
